How Does Dexcom Use my Health Data?
Dexcom uses your health data to provide you with Stelo products and services
Dexcom collects the data you provide to us, including your health data, through our website, when you create a Dexcom account, log-in and set up the Stelo app (e.g., name, DOB, gender, e-mail, diabetes diagnosis, address and phone number), as well as while you use the Stelo app (e.g., sensor readings, any information you enter or share with the app, etc.). Here’s how we use it:
The Stelo app monitors and tracks your glucose levels and provides detailed analysis of your glucose trends
· Stelo generates a summary of your glucose levels and offers trend data. Trend data includes patterns such as when your glucose rises multiple days in a row at a faster rate than usual and, for those with Type 2 Diabetes not on insulin treatment, when your glucose is below the clinically recommended threshold for more than a certain amount of time. · Stelo’s Insights feature generates glucose analyses daily, weekly and periodically to help you track your glucose levels, time in range, and other data points. · Stelo will notify you of “spikes” (your glucose increases more quickly than usual).
The Stelo app personalizes your glucose health journey to offer you insights and individualized recommendations for better health
· Stelo allows you to enter events and other information about yourself manually or by connecting your Stelo app to other health apps that you use. This data may include meals or snacks you’ve eaten, activities you’ve logged, hours you’ve slept (e.g., if you integrate Apple Watch data with Stelo), etc. · Stelo’s Insights feature will analyze your health data (sensor readings, meals you’ve eaten, level of exercise, and health data, such as your age, diabetes status, and gender) to provide you with recommendations, help you to set goals suitable to your health status, and to nudge you towards behaviors that result in better glucose health. · Stelo offers a library of helpful articles and literature about glucose health and managing glucose, which over time, Dexcom may personalize based on your health data. · Stelo offers a personalized journey. Dexcom uses your health data to learn what works to provide you with better product experience and help you achieve better, more stable glucose health.
